League City Volunteer Fire Department

 The League City Volunteer Fire Department is in need of volunteers. The department is comprised of four stations, with more than 90 members, and a ladies auxiliary, serving approximately 60,000 citizens within the community. It needs fire suppression and support personnel to assist in daily operations. Training classes are available twice a year. Volunteers needed for Battleship Texas

 The Battleship Texas is need of a few good men. Those interested can become volunteers by taking a Ship Familiarization Course and spend a few Saturdays doing something different. The course will meet on three consectutive Saturday, April 12, 19, and 26 from 1 to 4 p.m. Completion of all three classes will qualify partipants to quide tours aboard the Battleship Texas.
